Because editing requires a magic touch

I studied a Degree in Comunication Studies, and a Master in Film Editing.
I've always been intrigued by the idea of impacting someone else through a well narrated story.
And this is where my carrer as
Film Editor and Editor Producer began.

For years, I worked as a Script Analyst for TV series, where I learned a lot about narrative, pace, characters, building tension and audience.

I think it's from here that I
developed my storytelling skills.

Distance has never been an issue.
Tobias and The Jump are two feature documentaries I've edited remotely
and were internationaly awarded.

I am well experienced in editing remotely at high quality standards .

EDITING

Editing is my speciality and what I love to do!

During my experience as a freelnace, I have edited and edit produced lots of projects, some of them awarded in international film festivals, and one being also screened on cinemas.

I undertake my projects with passion, and enjoy getting involved in the process, actively giving my professional opinion and suggesting new ways for the good of the project. Always with positiviness and respecting everyone's role.

SCRIPT REVIEW

I have experience working as a Script Analyst for TV series. Therefore, I know the elements a story must have to be impactful and interesting.

POST PRODUCTION

Online video requires a fast workflow and a detailed post-production job before it is ready to be published.
I am capable of editing, colour grading, sound mixing, adding graphics, and compiling.

GRAPHIC DESIGN

Photoshop and Illustrator 2D design for tiltes, logos, posters, backgrounds, and even matte painting.
With a bit of extra work it could be animated in After Effects.

MOTION GRAPHICS AND VFX

Working on After Effects and Premiere Pro to deveolp animated graphics, specifcally created for your unique project.

COMPILING A MOVIE PROJECT

Finalizing a video to meet the specific configuration of each platform where it will be pulbished.
An important last step to keep the best quility settings.

EL GRAN SALTO "The Jump" (2019)

Role: Editor Producer / Editor
Genre: Factual, Narrative documentary

Lenght: 89 min

Logline: The story of Luis Rivera, the most important long jumper in Mexico seeking to qualify to Rio's Olympic Games, while he inspired a whole new generation of young athletes.

Screened in cinemas for 3 weeks in 2021.
Available in Prime Video (USA and Latam).

El Gran Salto became a local phenomenon, and the movie gave name to a Facebook Live Podcast where some of the most important Mexican athletes and sport's figures found a space to speak freely about their work, progress, fears, achivements and anecdotes.

My role was Editor and Creative developer, where I generated all the visual design and the editing format for each episode.

TOBIAS (2015)

Logline: A barefoot 9-year-old child from the mountains, dreams on becoming a profesional basketball player. He travels with the Triqui team discovering a world far from his own roots.

YR OCHR ARALL? "The Other Side?" (2017-2021)

Genre: Factual, Suspense ghost stories

Lenght: 30-50 min episodes

Logline: An online paranormal series produced by TeliMôn, where a Historian and a Spiritual Medium travel around different locations in Anglesey, discovering spooky stories. An old jail, a popular hotel, a local pub and an ancient quarry will unvail the presence of people who lived and died there.

Logline: Pancho is an hilarious and intelligent man with a funny way of connecting dots in his head. An artist with a strong personality and a unique way of living. A dark sense of humor, and an approach to life, politics and arts nothing close to what you've seen before. All these makes Pancho an excellent candidate to be on screen.

LA RICARDA, CASA DE VIDRE "House of glass" (2013)

Logline: The story of a house considered an architectonic jewel in Catalan rationalism. It was designed by Architect Antonio Bonet Castellana in conjuction with the ideas of Antionio Gomis, both interested in vanguard arts. Full of originality, functionality and pioneering ideas to merge structure and nature, this house also joined two families for decades.

Logline: Jon is a 5-year-old child eagerly awaiting the arrival of Iker, his unborn brother. But Jon's parents come back from the hospital to announce they have "lost" his sibling. Jon naively starts a quest to "find" his brother. This story turns an immense pain into a magical moment told through a boy's point of view, resulting into a very touching story.

EL GORDO "The Fat" (2013)

Logline: A 32 year-old single man, unemployed and still living at his mom's, had lost all hope. But luck will strike in the most unpredictable way. A girl bieng mysteriously chased by a dangerous man, will need The Fat as her only hope to escape.

Sutilde Cine is a fast-growing Film and Communication Project based in Mexico for who I am the designated Editor and Creative.

We are a small group of 4 creative and inspired members, constantly developing new ideas. In less than 4 years, we have produced a long length internationally awarded documentary, a popular podcast, a film review facebook video and 5 more film projects ready to start.

TeliMôn is an online TV Project for the locals in Isle of Anglesey. We create several videos about life styles in the area, community projects, entertainmnet, and even some spooky paranormal shows. Newly created as a small group of storytelling passionates, now we are also introducing training for newly peers.

I am part of this exciting project as a Creative developer and Film Editor.
